Bat in the cave

No, I did not have boogers at church today (at least not that I knew of) but there was a surprise visitor. At church this morning the pastor made an announcement before the sermon started to alert everyone to the presence of a bat hanging above the choir loft. Since it would be inappropriate to take picture in church I have created my best interpretation for the event using Paint. Here is the discover of the bat scene.
Exactly 2 minutes into the service the bat decided to take flight! Luckily, this bat was not the sharpest tool in the shed and flew into the ground where the choir director proceeded to wrap his robe around the dangerous, disease infested animal and rush it outside. It was a truly heroic act and pretty darn crazy to witness. The next picture is of the capture and the very funny comment one of the churchgoers shouted from the back.

A river runs through it

1.29
Yesterday my mom cam into town to spend some time with me and we enjoyed a lovely stroll along the river at sunset. One of my favorite things about Tuscaloosa is the Black Warrior River and the park at Manderson Landing. The park has a wonderful walking trail that weaves along the river and when the temperature is 75 and your walking with your mom and your pup at sunset life doesn't get much better.

Mac Daddy

1.28
I made my Nana's Mac and Cheese for dinner last night. It is so simple and yet so scrumptious. I added Gouda this time, just to make it even creamier. Mac and Cheese is the most wonderful food on this earth.
The End.

ICE CREAM!
On Thursday after a difficult hour and a half spent working on a finance case I went to Jason's Deli with two of my favorite team members! If you've never been to Jason's Deli, stop reading this blog right now and GO! It is delicious and you get all you can eat FREE ice cream with every meal. FREE. Do you hear me people? This is a shot of one of my team member's ice cream cone because I had some technical difficulties eating mine. I'm currently spot cleaning dried up ice cream stains from my t-shirt and favorite pair of jeans (coordination is not my strong suit). I call it a good day when you've laughed so hard you've cried.

Ants in my pants!

Well, the good news is that I don't actually have ants in my pants. The bad news is that they are running rampant in my kitchen. I hate bugs and can handle a few at a time, but when I open my dishwasher and find about 5 thousand crawling around I freak out a little. I did not have the courage to take a picture of the ants and I didn't want you all to feel ants crawling on you just from the sight of them. I have tried my hardest to massacre the ants and hopefully when I wake up in the morning it will be to the sight of a defeated battlefield. Here were my tools for success!

Blah Day

1.25.11
Tuesday was a pretty uneventful day and really nothing picture worth happened. I may borrow some pictures from time to time when I'm unable or too boring to take an interesting picture myself. Yesterday I found this gem when I Goggle image searched "blah day"
This just made me laugh! I found it especially approiate for this date because Obama gave his state of the union address last night. I did not watch it. I can't stand the constant clapping but I did read about it this morning. Sounds like Obama could use a little pick me up. I should send him this picture.

1.24

So this may seem like an odd thing to document but words cannot express how happy I am that my new laptop charger came in today! My old charger mysteriously broke in OCTOBER (I plugged it in one day and it started sparking) and I finally got a new one! I've been using my old computer, which was very outdated and had to constantly be plugged in to work. I'm so excited (and I just cant hide it!)!!!!
