"I like the sound of the puck when it hits the.....what do you call it....stick?"

This quote in the title of this post is from me at my very first hockey game. Clearly, I know nothing about hockey. On St. Patty's day I went to an Atlanta Thashers game with some of my MBA friends and my sista. Being from the south, I've always been pretty skeptical of hockey, especially after Sarah Palin, but I actually had a really great time! The game was fast paced, fun to watch and we even got to see a fight! I highly recommend a pro, minor and college game to anyone. Here are some snapshots of the festivities!
I know it's hard to tell (I was trying to be descret), but this chicka was DECKED OUT in St. Patty's goodness. Her tights had shamrocks on them, her belt had greet shot glasses glued to it, the had on shamrock glasses, green hair dye, and a gigantic green bow! Way to get into the holiday!
Unfortunately, there was no green beer at the game but they did have green lemonade!
We had great seats! The game ended up going into OT and then a shootout and both goals in the shootout were scored on this net. Very exciting!
Philips Arena was pretty impressive. These bird head things shot out fire from their mouths whenever something big happened.

It was a great trip with some fantastic friends!
