Fat Cat

For those of you who do not know Bernie, let me introduce him. Years ago after the tragic death of my family's first cat (she was the devil in cat form) my mom and I went to the humane society to pick out a new furry friend for the fam.

That week at the humane society, there had been an outbreak of worms in the cat room so all of the cats were in pretty bad shape. We wanted a kitten but there weren't any little kittens at the HS at the time so we were headed out the door when we spotted the most pathetic cat we'd ever seen. The fluffy orange kitty had no fur on his ears (ear mites), his eyes were gooped shut (conjunctivitis), and he smelled like a rotten egg (the bath they gave all of the cats to get rid of the worms). We felt so sorry for this poor little guy that we HAD to get him!

You'd never know from looking at him now that he was such an ugly mug when we got him because he is the most beautiful long haired orange beauty ever! Anyway, this has been a long post just for this one picture of my GIGANTIC cat!

 

I'll try to find a better picture of him to show off his beauty. This picture cracks me up though because he's so huge and my mom's face is really funny!
